VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle motorists and other South African motorists will once again have to increase their travelling budget as the toll tariffs are set to go up today. Minister of Transport, Blade Nzimande, approved the adjustment last week. According to a statement issued by the SA National Roads Agency (Sanral), adjustments to the tariffs are in accordance with the consumer price index over the preceding 12 months and include the increase in VAT from 14% to 15%. The newly adjusted tariffs will apply on the N3 toll road between Johannesburg and Durban, on the N4 between the Mozambican and the Botswana borders, as well as on the toll road sections of the N1, N2, N17 and R30.
