VAAL TRIANGLE - Absa said just before noon today that use of its online banking and app services had been restored. The bank said customers may, however, still experience some delays during this process. Absa apologised for the inconvenience caused by this morning's technical challenges. This comes after ABSA this morning said that its banking app and online banking channels were down. In a tweet sent just before 08:00, the bank said its team was working on a fix. According to the website downdetector.co.za the downtime started at 07:31. By 09:50 the bank was still replying to users on Twitter by saying the channels were experiencing downtime. This is the second time this month that the bank's online and app banking channels were down.
