VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle residents who are Sassa beneficiaries are urged to ignore a fake SMS doing the rounds claiming that cash pay points are being completely phased out. The South African Social Security Agency has warned beneficiaries about misleading SMSes that refers to changes in its system. The agency says they have become aware of beneficiaries receiving text messages saying the cash pay points are being phased out and they need to renew their registration to receive Sassa payments. Sassa spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi, says all beneficiaries should ignore these SMSes as the information is not accurate. He says pay points will gradually be reduced not fully phased out.
