Timeframe for tax returns is shortened by three weeks

June 5, 2018

VAAL TRIANGLE - The South African Revenue Service announced the period for filing tax returns is shortened by three weeks. This is to allow more time for finalising audits before the year ends. The season will now run from the first of next month till the end of October, while taxpayers are also encouraged to use the electronic filing option to help ease the backlog. Provisional tax payers can still file their returns electronically until the end of January.
