VAAL TRIANGLE - The Automobile Association (AA) warns Vaal Triangle and other SA motorists that yet another fuel price increase can be expected next month. Current data from the Central Energy Fund suggests a price rise of 19-cents a litre for petrol, 13-cents for diesel, and 22-cents for illuminating paraffin. The AA yesterday said in a statement international oil prices see-sawed during the first half of July, but remained within a fairly narrow band and did not contribute substantially to the price rises anticipated for next month. It said the rand/dollar exchange rate was a big influence. The Association said if the prevailing Rand and oil price trends persist for the rest of this month, the increases may be lower, but further volatility cannot be ruled out. At the beginning of July, petrol increased by 26 cents a litre.
