SASOLBURG - Vaal Triangle school children are urged to make sure to attend Sasol’s 18th flagship career exhibition, Sasol Techno X, this week (from 13 – 17 August 2018) at the Boiketlong Sport Centre in Sasolburg, Vaal Triangle. The 90.6 FM News Team attended the main opening of the exhibition today, where learners from different schools joined in workshops with engaging specialists in various scientific fields. Learners can engage with virtual reality, 3D printing, solar cars and much more. Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Wrenelle Stander, said Sasol Techno X has become the largest Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) career guidance exhibition in the country that annually attracts more than 20 000 visitors from seven provinces. Traditionally hosted in Sasolburg, and now also bi-annually in Secunda, Sasol Techno X focuses on mathematics, science and technology and is a platform for Grade 7 – 12 learners to engage with real-world application of these subjects in a way that creates interest and captivates the imagination. At the main Sasol exhibition, a large focus is placed this year on Information Technology. Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Sasol, Vusi Cwane, said at the main opening today that children will meet scientists, mathematicians, technologists, engineers and others within the broader discipline of science.
