VAAL TRIANGLE - The South African Weather Service said Vaal Triangle and other SA residents can expect rain over most parts of the country throughout the weekend. Weather forecaster Puseletso Mofokeng said there were cloudy conditions with 50 percent chance of rain over the eastern parts of the country which included Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. He said despite these cloudy conditions, residents could expect warm temperatures ranging above 23 degrees Celsius. Gauteng residents are being warned of possible flooding due to heavy rainfall today. This is expected to result in heavy traffic delays, with Eskom announcing stage 2 load shedding. The Johannesburg Metro Police Department's Wayne Minnaar says that motorists must drive with caution. He said where there are roads that have flooded, do not take a chance to try and drive on those roads because a little bit of water can sweep people off the road. Mofokeng said the rain would begin to fade on Sunday which meant there was no chance of rain over much of the country from next week Monday.
