June 14, 2019

VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle residents are urged to brace themselves for the coldest night of 2019 so far as the first cold front of the year hits Gauteng. The province will feel the effects of a quick cold front that has made its way towards the South Eastern parts of the country. According to the Gauteng Weather service, tonight (Friday, 14 June) will be the coldest night so far in 2019. This comes after a cold front hit the province last night, bringing the first below freezing temperatures. Vereeniging’s minimum temperature came in at -1°C. According to Gauteng Weather, the cold front is set to stick around for most of the weekend. The South African Weather Service says warmer temperatures can be expected by Sunday.
