July 25, 2019

VAAL TRIANGLE - Two suspects from Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle made a second appearance in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrates court on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Anette Jooste. The 59-year-old's body was found last month along the N9 outside town. In June, police struggled for over a week to identify her body, but she was eventually identified by her fingerprints. Spokesperson Captain Bradley Rawlinson says the 48-year-old Chené Chantell Verwey and the 28-year-old Mandla Khumalo abandoned their bid for bail. The case was remanded to the 2nd of September.
