VAAL TRIANGLE - Deputy President David Mabuza will today be joined by the Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu, during the Deputy President’s Project Monitoring Visit to the Sebokeng Regional Sewer Scheme (SRSS) in Sebokeng. Politicians from the Gauteng Gauteng Provincial Legislature as well as from Sedibeng District Municipality and Emfuleni Local Municipality will join them. Spokesperson for the Department of Water and Sanitation, Sputnik Ratau, said in a statement the Deputy President and entourage is expected to be briefed on the progress regarding the upgrades to the SRSS, the government’s intervention in the Vaal River clean-up, as well as other matters related to developments in the area with regard to a well-functioning sewer and reticulation scheme for the Vaal area. Ratau said the visit will include a site inspection at the SRSS. He said the ultimate aim of this visit is to discuss at length critical issues that relate to this important intervention at the Vaal and hopefully unlock any issues that might delay the completion of the task at hand.
