The AA remains optimistic about a petrol price cut

September 18, 2019

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Automobile Association says South Africans can still expect some relief at the fuel pumps next month, despite the attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. The AA says it now expects the price of a litre of 95-octane petrol to drop by five-cents, and 93-octane by 20-cents. On Friday, before the attack cut Saudi oil production by half, Central Energy Fund data indicated a drop of 11-cents for 95-octane and 25-cents for 93. The diesel price is likely to increase by 13-cents-a-litre.
