South Africans can expect relief at the fuel pumps

October 29, 2019

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Automobile Association expects fuel prices to drop next month. The AA says in the wake of international oil price retreats, petrol should be between eight- and 18-cents cheaper, diesel, 14-cents and illuminating paraffin’s price should fall by 21-cents. It adds that the rand has pulled back from its high point at the start of this month. The projections are based on unaudited month-end fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund. The AA said whatever happens to the oil price and rand from this point affects the price motorists will be paying at the pumps at Christmas. The Association said it remains to be seen whether this month's reductions will continue for the rest of the year.
