Man dies as vehicle collides with tree in Meyerton

MEYERTON - Paramedics say a man in his mid-30s has died and a 30-year-old woman and her father have been seriously injured after they lost control of their car and collided with a tree on Meyer Road in Meyerton over the weekend. ER24 said in a statement their paramedics arrived at 13:50 pm to find all three people entrapped in their vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver showed no signs of life and was declared dead on the scene by provincial EMS. ER24 said Midvaal Fire Department extracted the woman from the front passenger seat and her 56-year-old father from the back seat. Both had suffered serious injuries and were treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported through to Kopanong and Sebokeng hospitals for further care. The Midvaal Traffic Department was also on the scene.
