Vanderbijlpark SAPS searching for hit and run suspect driving a Ford Focus

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS is searching for a motorist who allegedly hit and injured a 55-year-old man on the road, but drove away. The SAPS said in a statement on Wednesday, 4 October 2023, at around 14:20 in the afternoon, the unknown white male suspect driving a silver Ford Focus vehicle hit the victim in Hallwach Street, CW2/5. Police say the driver was allegedly driving recklessly when he hit the victim and also failed to stop after the incident. The victim was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries. According to police, the left side mirror of the vehicle fell after hitting the victim. This will be forming part of the investigation. Police encouraged anyone who may know about this vehicle to contact Sgt Tumane Motseko on 083 717 3634.
