21 illegal foreigners denied bail in the Vereeniging magistrate’s court

VEREENIGING - After being arrested for attacking South Africans on 10 January in Vereeniging, 21 illegal foreigners appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court this week. Vaal Journal reports the 21 illegal Ethiopians are charged with Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and a level 6 robbery charge. This comes after the South African Police Service #OperationDudula intervention. According to the news site, the 21 suspects were refused bail in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. The case was remanded to 22 January 2024.
