VAAL TRIANGLE - The All Truck Drivers Forum and Allied South Africa has suspended its planned national shutdown scheduled for today. The shutdown, over the employment of foreign truck drivers amongst other issues, was expected to disrupt major transport routes. The All Truck Drivers Forum and Allied South Africa Secretary General, Gugu Sokhela, says the leadership had a constructive meeting with the relevant stakeholders yesterday. He says they hope government departments will uphold their commitment to intensify inspections and enforcement of compliance regulations.
