VAAL TRIANGLE - The shortage of chicken and eggs in South Africa will continue for a longer period of time following the avian flu outbreak. specialist veterinarian Shahn Bisschop says the outbreak is far from over and the nation may not begin to see signs of recovery for at least six months. He says bio-security measures have been less effective in limiting the spread of the disease. Bisschop told Newzroom Afrika the continued spread of the outbreak is placing additional strain on the agricultural sector.
