CERT-SA responds to a collision between trucks on the R550.

MIDVAAL - CERT-SA says their Vaal Crew responded to a motor vehicle collision on the R550, past Sky City, yesterday afternoon around 16:20. The organisation says, upon their arrival, they found two trucks that collided head-on. Four patients were found on the scene. Three patients had moderate injuries, while one patient suffered more serious injuries. All patients were stabilized on scene and were transported to nearby facilities with various services. According to CERT-SA, the cause of the incident is not clear, and the South African Police Service will investigate the incident. CERT-SA thanked the Midvaal Fire and Rescue, Ekurhuleni Fire and Rescue, ER24 EMS, Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, Netcare911, Johannesburg Metro Police Department, Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, and the South African Police Service for their assistance on scene.
