VAAL TRIANGLE - The National Professional Teachers’ Organisation of South Africa (Naptosa) is appealing to communities not to interfere with the upcoming matric examinations. Grade 12 learners are scheduled to kick off their National Senior Certificate exams on 30 October. This plea follows concerns raised by the education quality assurance body Umalusi about potential disruptions, including loadshedding, cheating and community protests. While acknowledging the legitimacy of protests, Naptosa’s Basil Manuel urges the public to refrain from disrupting these critical exams, which represent a pivotal moment in the learners’ lives.
