SEDIBENG - The DA in Gauteng demands an urgent investigation into the theft of R5-million from the Sedibeng Licensing Department, allegedly involving mayor Lerato Maloka’s son, Kgotso Mkhize. The party claims the funds were allegedly stolen through fraudulent transactions on the electronic national administration traffic information system in December last year. The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala criticised Maloka for nepotism and corruption, demanding action to ensure transparency and accountability in local government appointments.
