DA says Gauteng Education yielded to pressure of re-evaluating scholar transport policy

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Gauteng Department of Education has agreed to re-evaluate the scholar transport policy after pressure from the DA. Gauteng MEC of Education, Matome Chiloane, acknowledged the flaws within the policy and now seeks to hold an imbizo to discuss safety improvements. The DA says it has long called for stricter safety measures and is pleased with this response. The DA's Sergio Isa Dos Santos said they will further table questions at the Gauteng Provincial Legislature to determine the overhaul's timelines.
