Electric steel producers complain about product price decreases

VAAL TRIANGLE - Electric steel producers in South Africa have expressed concern over price reductions in products sold by ArcelorMittal South Africa. According to the Electric Steel Producers of South Africa, price decreases on Amsa long steel products range from seven up to 18%. The organisation says the price cuts are an unfair advantage and come at a time when the rest of the steel industry had to increase prices due to a shortage in scrap metal.
