Emfuleni Local Municipality appoints unverified official

VANDERBIJLPARK - The DA says in it’s latest scandal, the Emfuleni Local Municipality has appointed, Xolani Nciza as the chair of disciplinary cases without proper qualification verification. Nciza, brother of ANC Gauteng provincial secretary Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza, faces allegations of falsifying qualifications during his previous appointment in Ekurhuleni. Despite this, Emfuleni appointed him without due diligence. Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mzi Khumalo, disclosed this information during an oral reply to Democratic Alliance queries in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. Emfuleni lacks records of Nciza's qualifications, urging investigation into his employment process. The DA demands immediate investigation and suspension of Nciza's appointment pending the probe, highlighting concerns over hiring processes and cadre deployment. The party asserts its commitment to defending citizens' rights to qualified and ethical public servants.
