VANDERBIJLPARK - Executive Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality, Cllr. Sipho Radebe, together with Members of the Mayoral Committee, Acting Municipal Manager Mr. Mothiba Mogofe, and EXCO members, officially handed over maintenance tools to the Parks and Cemeteries Department this week. The equipment, valued at R1.4-million, was procured through structured processes to ensure quality and long-term reliability. Mayor Radebe handed over six tractor-mounted heavy-duty grass slashers, four ride-on zero-turn mowers, 12 blowers, 12 chainsaws, 12 pole pruners, 30 brush cutters, and safety kits. Praising the department’s efforts in acquiring the tools, the Mayor urged staff to maintain the equipment and highlighted the importance of consistent service delivery. Radebe said with these new tools, they will inspire confidence in the public and work harder to regain the trust of Emfuleni communities. The handover concluded with a practical demonstration of the machinery by Parks and Cemeteries staff.
