VANDERBIJLPARK - The Emfuleni Local Municipality have issued an urgent warning about a fraudulent letter circulating with incorrect banking details, falsely instructing customers to make electricity payments to an unauthorised account. Residents are strongly urged not to use any banking information from unofficial letters or third-party sources. This scam poses a serious risk of financial loss. Customers in the Emfuleni area are advised to use only the official Eskom-issued banking details for electricity payments. Proof of payment should be emailed to the official Eskom and Emfuleni addresses only.
