Emfuleni SOMA taking place at Vereeniging banquet hall today

VEREENIGING - The Executive Mayor of the Emfuleni Local Municipality, Councillor Sipho Radebe, will deliver the State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on 4 July 2024 today. ELM says this is the third address of the 6th administration under the theme “Mastering the art of implementation through consolidating cooperative local government, service delivery and fiscal discipline”. The municipality says the SOMA is the annual event that creates a platform for the municipality to give account and report back to the community on service delivery achievements and challenges encountered during the period under review. The SOMA also provides a platform of interface between the community and the political leadership of the institution, which ELM says is characterised by transparency, accountability and vigorous deliberations. The SOMA is expected to take place from 10:00 this morning at the Vereeniging banquet hall.
