VAAL TRIANGLE - The Emfuleni Local Municipality has warned residents of Evaton and Sebokeng that they will be affected by a water supply shutdown for two full days. Customers in these areas will be affected from today, 11 December, at 18:00 pm until Wednesday, 13 December. The municipality says this is due to ongoing efforts to improve Langerand reservoir levels, and to address intermittent water supply challenges in the two areas. According to Emfuleni, supply to Sebokeng and Evaton will only be restored based on positive reservoir recovery. ELM advised residents to collect water for basic use during the shutdown. Consumers who still have water are requested to use water sparingly for the duration of the shutdown to allow reservoir levels to recover quicker. The municipality apologised for the inconvenience.
