MEYERTON - CERT-SA says one person died in an accident on Jim Fouche Road in Meyerton over the weekend. The organisation says on Saturday evening at around 20:30, their Vaal crew responded to the head-on collision that occurred between two motor vehicles. Unfortunately, the driver of one of the vehicles sustained severe injuries and was declared dead on arrival. The driver of the second vehicle miraculously sustained only minor injuries and declined any medical treatment. CERT-SA thanked Midvaal Fire Department , Meyerton SAPS, A-Assist Towing and Riversdal CPF for their assistance on the scene and offered their sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.
