Forum for South Africa calls for the reintroduction of the death penalty

VAAL TRIANGLE - Forum for South Africa has formally submitted a proposal to Parliament, urging the review of Section 11 of the Constitution to allow for the reintroduction of the death penalty. The Forum's Tebogo Mashilompane argues that rising murder rates, especially targeting women and children, demand harsher consequences. Citing public support and rising crime, he says the Constitution must reflect 2025 realities, not 1996 ideals, to better protect victims over perpetrators.
