VAAL TRIANGLE - The Financial Sector Conduct Authority has warned consumers of fraudulent impersonation by individuals or entities posing as financial service providers. These impostors often use social media platforms to solicit investments, falsely claiming affiliation with authorised providers. The FSCA says the public should thoroughly verify personnel and offers directly with service providers to avoid falling victim to scams. Engaging in unauthorised financial services and impersonating legitimate businesses are criminal offenses.
