Gauteng residents are warned to brace for water challenges for the next five years

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Department of Water and Sanitation has issued a warning that Gauteng residents will continue to grapple with water challenges for the next five years. The department’s director-general, Sean Phillips, highlighted that the primary focus is to reduce water demand in Gauteng, with the goal of bringing down the average per person consumption from 255 liters per day to around 170 liters per day. Phillips said that the department is committed to addressing the water challenges while working towards a sustainable solution.
