Gauteng to launch the 2026 online school admissions on Thursday

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Gauteng MEC for Education, Matome Chiloane, will officially switch on the 2026 online admissions system on Thursday. This will mark the start of applications for parents and guardians with children going to Grade 1 and Grade 8 at public schools in the 2026 academic year. The department’s spokesperson, Steve Mabona, says there will be 81 walk-in centres that will assist those without the necessary resources to apply.
