Kliprivier police request community assistance in identifying man wanted for raping a teenager

MEYERTON - The police in Kliprivier, Meyerton, are seeking the community's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for rape of a teenage girl. Police spokesperson, Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, said in a statement the incident occurred on 10 October 2024 at around 18:45, near the river in Kliprivier. A 17-year-old girl was raped by one of three unknown suspects who approached the family while they were performing rituals. The suspects, who were armed, also robbed the family of their cellphones. Sibeko said the suspect in question is described as a dark-complexion male, between the ages of 25 and 30, with a slender build and medium height. He has a scar on his shoulder, a gold tooth, and was last seen wearing dark grey and black jeans, along with a black t-shirt. Anyone with information that can help the police to identify and locate this suspect, are encouraged to please contact Investigating Officer, Constable Brummer of Vereeniging FCS, on 073 079 1467 or 016 450 2566.
