# Eskom says load-shedding will remain suspended over New Year due to the consistent improvement in available generating capacity. The power utility lifted the rolling blackouts before Christmas. Load-shedding will continue to be suspended until next week Friday at 16:00. Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says they will closely monitor the power system and communicate should any significant changes occur.
