Man accused of rape arrested in Metsimaholo

ORANJEVILLE - The SAPS arrested a man accused of raping his niece and friend aged 10 and 9 in Oranjeville. It is alleged that the 44-year-old took the two children to a field where he raped them. Vaal Journal reports, the aunt apparently noticed a change in her niece’s walk and begun to check her, she realised that she might have been raped. According to police spokesperson, Sgt Mahlomola Kareli, suspect gave the girls money and threatened them not to tell anyone about the incident. A manhunt was launched and the suspect was arrested at his house in Metsimaholo. The suspect will soon appear in the Oranjeville magistrate court for two counts of rape.
