Man arrested in Sasolburg for being in posession of R200,000 in drugs

SASOLBURG - Police in the Free State yesterday arrested a 32-year-old foreign national in Sasolburg, Vaal Triangle, for dealing in and possession of drugs. The team followed information on a new drug outlet in the area and their attention was drawn to a suspicious man standing in the driveway of his rented apartment. Members went to the suspect’s residence, but nothing was found inside his room. A subsequent search of his vehicle, led to the discovery of a plastic package containing drugs such as Tik and CAT. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, says the drugs are worth an estimated street value of R200,000. A larger bag of drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash were also found. The 32-year-old foreign national was immediately arrested for dealing in and possession of drugs and will appear in the Sasolburg magistrate court soon.
