Man found murdered near Sharpeville cemetery

SHARPEVILLE - The Sharpeville SAPS is investigating a brutal murder after the body of a man was discovered near the K53 Road, close to Vuka Cemetery, on Tuesday morning, 15 April 2025. According to Sharpeville police spokesperson Constable Busisiwe Sango, officers arrived on the scene at around 08:00 and found the body of a male in his early thirties. He was lying on his back with multiple open wounds. The victim’s identity has been confirmed, but his name is being withheld pending family notification. The motive behind the killing remains unclear, and no arrests have been made. Constable Sango is urging anyone with information to come forward.
