Man who disappeared from his Vanderbijlpark hotel room found deceased

UPDATE: VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS says a man who went missing from his Vanderbijlpark hotel room last week Sunday, has unfortunately been found deceased. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Sigcu, told the 90.6 FM News Team that the 53-year-old Ryan Eden Shapiro, was last seen on 21 January by his cousin who visited him at the Emerald Casino. His cousin allegedly came back the following day to check on him as Shapiro was not feeling well when his cousin left. Upon arrival at his hotel room, Shapiro was not there but his belongings were still in the hotel room. Sigcu said upon further investigation by Emerald security personnel, the missing person was seen on video footage leaving the premises of Emerald Casino on foot at about 04:24 the following day. Sigcu today told the 90.6 FM News Team in an emailed response that the missing person has unfortunately been found deceased on Saturday, 28 January 2024, near the Vaal River.
