SASOLBURG - The Metsimaholo Local Municipality is actively tackling service delivery challenges following a crucial meeting between Executive Mayor Cllr Jack Malindi, Speaker of Council Cllr Lucas Fisher, and the Metsimaholo Taxi Association. The engagement, held on June 23, 2025, at the Civic Centre in Sasolburg, addressed a Memorandum of Demands submitted by the association on May 12, 2025. Key issues raised included urgent road resurfacing, graveling of neglected routes, reliable water supply, speed bump installation, and pothole repairs. The municipality confirmed a service provider has been appointed for road resealing in Refengkgotso and Naledi (Vaalpark), with appointments also made for regraveling Themba Kubeka's access roads and general pothole repairs. Water installation is part of a broader infrastructure expansion plan. This proactive engagement underscores the municipality's commitment to responsive governance and restoring public trust.
