MIDVAAL - Midvaal Local Municipality says he stepped in to assist the Lesedi Local Municipality as they dealt with the Rand Water interruption. Lesedi Municipal Manager, Mr S'busiso Dlamini, reached out to Midvaal Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, requesting assistance with the water supply. In response, Midvaal made water points accessible and provided 20,000 litres of water to the Heidelberg Regional Hospital ensuring uninterrupted water services for patients and the community of Lesedi. This support was offered at no cost, as Midvaal recognised the critical importance of water as a basic necessity. Midvaal Municipality says he is proud to support its neighbouring municipalities in times of need. According to the municipality, he is of the view that collaboration and cooperation are vital for maintaining good relations within the Sedibeng District. Midvaal hopes that this spirit of teamwork will become a standard practice for all municipalities to ensure the well-being of our communities. We are committed to serving our people and prioritising their needs, regardless of our borderlines.
