Midvaal gears up for Mayoral Youth Games to celebrate youth day

MIDVAAL - The Midvaal Local Municipality will host the annual Mayoral Youth Games on Monday, 16 June 2025, in celebration of Youth Day. This vibrant sporting event, now in its fourth edition, is spearheaded by Executive Mayor Alderman Peter Teixeira. The games aim to bring together young athletes from across the region, offering a platform for talent, teamwork, and healthy competition. Teams will compete for top honours and community recognition in what promises to be a spirited and festive occasion. The games will be held at the Sicelo Sports Ground in Meyerton from 08:00 to 16:00, featuring soccer, netball, chess, a kickboxing demonstration, and a special curtain-raiser match starring South African soccer legends.
