Minister welcomes signing of the Economic Regulation of Transport Bill

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga has welcomed the signing into law of the Economic Regulation of Transport Bill by president Cyril Ramaphosa. The department’s spokesperson, Collen Msibi says the Bill will oversee pricing, investigate complaints and enforce compliance by ensuring a fair and competitive transport industry. Msibi says the Transport Economic Council shall serve as an appeal institution on the decisions made by the Regulator.
