Newborn's nody discovered during search for missing person in Evaton

SEBOKENG - The Sebokeng SAPS is investigating a case of concealment of birth after a lifeless body of a newborn baby was found in the outskirts of Polokong, Sebokeng yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, 21 August 2024. Sebokeng Police Spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane reported that the police were conducting a search for a missing person in the area when they were called by the community members, alleging that they had found a body of a newborn on the dumping site. Emergency Medical Services on the scene confirmed that it was a newborn boy, and his body was taken to Sebokeng Government Mortuary for further investigation. The SAPS urged anyone who may have information about the person who was pregnant in the surrounding areas, but is no longer pregnant, to contact the Sebokeng SAPS on 0824989563, 08600 10111.
