Nsfas urges students to settle accommodation allowance payments

VAAL TRIANGLE - The National Student Financial Aid Scheme has urged students who have received funds designated for accommodation allowances to settle their outstanding payments with their landlords as soon as possible. Nsfas also asked that students submit proof of payment to their respective college Financial Aid Officers. Failure to comply with this may result in eviction. Nsfas has also reiterated calls to service providers to submit claims promptly, as the next payment is due Thursday. NSFAS spokesperson Ishmael Mnisi says delays in data submission could affect verification and payouts. Mnisi emphasised the commitment to resolving outstanding claims, stating it is crucial to maintain stable living conditions for financially-aided students relying on the scheme.
