One man kidnapped from Mimosa Sweets in Vereeniging yesterday

VEREENIGING - The owner of Mimosa Sweets in Vereeniging, Vaal Triangle, has allegedly been kidnapped from his business by armed kidnappers yesterday. A video of CCTV footage has since been doing the rounds on social media, showing the incident, which occurred shortly before 09:00. The video footage shows three armed men stepping out of a red vehicle and one by one running to enter the store. Surrounding vehicles and people sitting nearby fled the scene immediately. After a short while, the Mimosa Sweets owner, Irfaan Dadabhay, can be seen where he is dragged out of his shop by his arms and legs. As the suspects try to bundle the victim into their vehicle, one suspect can be seen firing a shot into the store right before they drove off. According to the Intelligence Bureau, one man was kidnapped and another was shot. The 90.6 FM News Team understands that police are still searching for Dadabhay and his kidnappers.
