One person injured after vehicle drives off a bridge in Meyerton

VAALDRIEHOEK - CERT-SA says their Vaal Crew had to attend a scene over the weekend during which a vehicle drove off a bridge and landed in the water below. The organisation says their crew responded on Friday evening at 20:00 after reports of a motor vehicle collision on Pierneef Boulevard in Meyerton. A light motor vehicle veered off the road and went over the bridge, landing in the water below. One patient was assessed, and treated on scene and transported to the hospital by ER24. CERT-SA said the exact circumstances that led up to the incident are unclear. The organisation thanked Midvaal Fire Department, Midvaal Traffic Department, ER24 and A-Assist Towing for their assistance on scene.
