Pastor arrested for raping 17 year old girl in Sasolburg

SASOLBURG - The SAPS arrested a 37-year-old pastor for raping a 17-year-old girl at her home in Zamdela, Sasolburg. It is alleged that social workers approached the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit regarding a 17-year-old girl who is pregnant, claiming that she was raped by her pastor. Rea Gazette reports the victim alleged that on Monday, 1 January 2024, at about 08:00, she was raped by her pastor. It is alledged that after the girl refused to be his mistress and ran into the house, the pastor followed her into the victim's mother's bedroom and raped her. He then told the victim not to tell anyone, or else he would not employ her mother and her uncle. The victim is five months pregnant and the suspect was expected to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate Court on Friday, 17 May. Details of his court first appearance are not yet known.
