Plans to build new hospital in Orange Farm in preparation for NHI

ORANGE FARM - Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says as the province prepares for the implementation of the National Health Insurance, there is an urgency to accelerate the upgrading of existing healthcare facilities and build new ones. The department is planning to build four new hospitals in Soshanguve, Daveyton, Orange Farm in the Vaal Triangle, and Diepsloot. Nkomo-Ralehoko says these facilities will add to the existing 37 public hospitals in Gauteng and bring the total to 41.
