Police man among three appearing in Vereeniging court today on murder charges

VEREENIGING - Three people who were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a man from Vereeniging, are expected to appear in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court again today. Netwerk24 reports that 30-year-old Armand Swart was waiting in his white Ford Ranger bakkie in front of an engineering company in Duncanville on Wednesday for the electric gate to open when the occupants of a white Hyundai i20 opened fire on him. A policeman, Warrant Officer Michael Pule Tau (54), Dany Floyd Mabusela (46) and Musa Kekane (36) are charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm. Police spokesperson Noxolo Kweza says they were caught about 72 km from Vereeniging in Bramley on Wednesday after police followed up information. The accused are applying for bail in the magistrate's court today, April 30, after they also appeared in court on Friday.
