VAAL TRIANGLE - The Road Traffic Management Corporation has issued a stern warning, declaring its intention to arrest both corrupt traffic officers and the motorists who engage in bribery. The regulatory body has launched operations across the country, resulting in criminal charges against eight officers in Newcastle and seven in Johannesburg within a week. The agency’s CEO, Makhosini Msibi says motorists who are complicit in these crimes will not be spared. Msibi adds the RTMC is committed to eradicating corruption in traffic enforcement.
